1. King George's Medical University, Lucknow (1911)

The "King George's Medical University" was estabished in the year of 1906 in Lucknow region of Uttar Pradesh. Finally its opened in the year of 1911. It was formally know as "Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University".
2. Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (1916)

The "Banaras Hindu University" (or BHU) is situated in Varanasi and founded in the year of 1916 by the great nationalist leader, "Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya" and "Dr Annie Besant" also played an important role in the development of the BHU. The BHU has immensely contributed to the progress of the nation through a large number of renowned scholars, artists and scientists.
3. The University of Mysore, Mysore (1916)
The "University of Mysore" was founded on 27 July 1916 during the reign of "Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV", the Maharaja of Mysore. The University of Mysore established outside of the British government in India and is known as the 6th oldest university in India.

The "Patna University" is the first known university in the state of Bihar. Patna University was established on 1 October 1917 during the British government and it is the eleventh oldest university of the Indian subcontinent.

The "Osmania University" is titled after its founder, "Nawab Osman Ali Khan", the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad. The University came into existence in the year of 1918. Since then it is continuously committed to serving the cause of Higher Education and meeting the ambitions of millions of students in chase of scholastic perfection.
6. Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi (1920)
The "Jamia Millia Islamia" is located in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi and was initially established at Aligarh during the British administration in the year of 1920 but it was later moved to its current location in Okhla in the year of 1935. Finally, the "Jamia Millia Islamia University" has given the deemed status by the University Grants Commission in the year of 1962. On 26 December 1988, it converted into a Central University by an act of Parliament.
8. Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi (1921)

The "Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith" is known as a public university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This university was established in 1921 as "Kashi Vidyapith" by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta and Bhagwan Das and later renamed to its present name in the year of 1995. It was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, the pioneer man of India.
